As a female photographer, I understand that sometimes beauty - the way society defines it - is not as easily found in the mirror as we'd like it to be. And with our lives crammed full with the demands of kids and/or a career, sometimes the spark that our marriages and relationships need to be healthy goes by the wayside as we slowly write ourselves off to motherhood, or tell ourselves we're just not in our prime anymore, at least when it comes to romantic appeal. Or, maybe this isn't you at all- perhaps you're just a young bride, in the best shape of your life and you're looking to surprise your fiance or new husband with a photo album he won't be expecting, but one that will for sure get your marriage off to a great, romantic start.

In either case, with the right lighting and a fun atmosphere, beauty and sex appeal can be found in each of us. Whether you are a newly engaged bride-to-be, or you’re a grandmother of 4 and only your shoe size is what it was 30 years ago, let my camera lens discover what he hasn't seen for a while and we'll show him just how lovely you can be and remind him why he chose you to spend his life with.

Pin-Up sessions are offered two ways:

The first, a Pin-Up Party, is a fun night for you and your coworkers, bridesmaids, roommates, or just your favorite gal-pals. The second, is a private, in-home session for just you. Both are described below:

The Pin-Up Party


Just the perfect event to share with your friends - a pin-up portrait party makes a great bachelorette party or girls night out. Don't worry, just because you're in on this together, doesn't mean your IN on it together...everyone's session is completely private. I am quite strict about that. The party is set up like this: you invite 2-4 of your friends (more for a full-day event) to your home and you provide refreshments and beverages of your choice. Everyone is free to bring anything they would like to be photographed in (or with) and I also bring a fun selection of sexy dresses in a variety of sizes as well as some fine fabrics for draping. Your party takes place in one room, then it is helpful to have a separate bathroom for makeup and dressing, and I am set up with studio lighting in another room. Typically, I am in a bedroom off of a living room with a guest bath between, but any arrangement can work generally speaking, as long as I have a door to close for the privacy of participants. When possible, my assistant will also be there to go over images with you and your guests as you make your selections for your prints or album. As the hostess, you receive a package credit of $100 toward your order. Participants may choose from the following:

Package A - $575 - Includes an 8x10 10 page leatherbound album with 10 finished prints and an 11x14 signed and numbered archival giclee print for framing, and a pocket album (great for his business trips when he misses you) featuring 10 2x3 finished images. Requires a 50% deposit at the event, balance due upon delivery of products.

  • Package B - $395 - Includes a 5x7 10 page leatherbound album with 10 finished prints and an 8x10 or 10x10 finished print for framing. Requires a 50% deposit at the event, balance due upon delivery of products.
  • Package C - $125 - Includes one finished 8x10 and 2 5x7's. Requires payment in full at event.

    Moonshadow Pin-Up Portrait Individual Home Session


    Let Moonshadow Studio treat you to a two-hour private photo session in your home, just us, my dresses and silks, and your favorite bedroom couture. You'll be able to view and choose the images for your album that day. You have two package options:

    • Package D - $685 - Includes an 8x10 10 page leatherbound album with 10 finished prints and an 11x14 archival giclee print for framing, signed and numbered, a 5x7 (for his office) and a pocket album (great for his business trips when he misses you) featuring 10 2x3 finished images.
    • Package E - $450 - Includes a 5x7 10 page leatherbound album with 10 finished prints and an 8x10 or 10x10 finished print for framing.

    Whichever approach you choose, I will create images that will make your marriage sizzle and your self-esteem shine. These portraits are truly rewarding for me as a professional photographer - no other use of my camera gives women the empowerment and confidence they get with this type of portraiture.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    • What about stretch marks, scars, and oh - do I have to say it?
      I'm glad you asked! One of the benefits of having a female photographer is that I know what you do an don't want to see in your final finished print. From head to toe your skin is softened, stretch marks are removed (as well as anything else you might consider undesireable). Dark circles under eyes are lightened and generally anything else I can do to make you look your absolute best. If there's time at your event, I will even demonstrate on an image so that everyone can see just I'm talking about as they decide which images to choose for their albums and prints.

    • Do I have to take off my clothes?
      Of course not! Your session can be done fully-clothed or barely covered, with the utmost sensitivity and discretion considered, all in the comfort and privacy of your (or your friend's) home. But do keep this in mind - while not everyone fully disrobes by any means, many do, while still being covered "strategically" by beautiful silk fabrics. Men don't necessarily want to see EVERYTHING anyway, so I like to leave it to the imagination, and you get to relax and enjoy the shoot.

    • Just how sexy are these photos?
      Ah - if you don't read anything else on this page - please read this!! This is an ARTISTIC approach to nude and semi-nude photography. Absolutely nothing in poor taste will be shot. There is a difference between beautifully seductive and something you'll see in magazine wrapped in paper. There are multiple reasons for drawing the line, but mostly it is to preserve your self-respect, dignity and grace.

    • I'm worried about feeling silly or awkward, I'm not sure I can pose that way!
      Not to worry, you are not expected to know anything about how to pose. I understand the curves and angles and the way the light needs to be falling. I will coach you through each pose and after a few minutes you'll be used to the process and enjoying every minute of it. This is your time to shine!
